Evan & Emily / October 17th, 2020

"Five years ago, I met the most beautiful girl I've ever seen." Right from that first sentence, I knew the letters Evan and Emily wrote to each other would be special. Chills!

Evan and Emily's wedding day was an absolutely gorgeous Tennessee October day, but the way they showed their love to each other was what I remembered at the end of the day. I was anticipating a fun day, as I knew I would see plenty of familiar faces from the bride’s sister’s wedding that I filmed in 2019 (Hi, Bailee and Matt!), including one of my favorite Nashville photographers, Dave Weflen. The couple’s friends Luke and Jenna hosted the wedding day on their stunning property, an incredibly picturesque forest and field setting. It was all hands on deck during wedding week, with family and friends prepping all the final details for the day.

One of the first ideas Emily mentioned in our emails was setting an intimate vow exchange before the ceremony. As this is one of my favorite ways to produce a wedding film, I happily agreed! She and Evan wrote just brilliant vows for each other, detailing how they met and how their relationship grew into the marriage they were minutes away from stepping into. Their words made for an ideal wedding film story, one I’m so thrilled to have been able to craft with them!
