I’m gagged! In case ya missed it, Matt and Nafis’s wedding film was awarded WEDDING OF THE YEAR at the Wedding Film Awards a global wedding film award presented by LoveStoriesTV! WTF OMG LOL WHAT! The award recognizes the work of the entire wedding team, and is defined as the “gold standard.” What an incredible honor and a delightful surprise!!! Matt, Nafis, and I spread the word to our friends and family to put in a vote a couple weeks ago, and I was perfectly happy just to hear people say they voted. Congratulations to all of the other winners!

This film in particular means a lot to me, professionally and personally. Beyond the cinematography of filmmaking, storytelling is really the heart of what makes this job worth it. Being able to tell a true love story is why I love to make wedding films, and the storyline here is really on display. To be recognized for a film about multicultural queer love really feels special.
In our field, pleasing our couples is paramount; receiving recognition on a global scale is truly empowering on a new level. I can’t wait to use this stamp of approval to create even better wedding films alongside my couples. Thank you to the new Narsinghanis, to the vendor crew who pulled it all off, to those who voted for this award, and thank you, LSTV, for the honor!
