Matthew and Claire so intimately relayed their love story in their self-penned wedding vows, tucked in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Once the wedding day began, they knew they'd chosen a perfect autumn day to have an outdoor ceremony with a small group of family and friends. As Claire's family lives in South Korea, they could not attend, but Claire had the brilliant idea from our first interaction to add Korean subtitles to their film so her family could enjoy the moment just as much as those in attendance. A perfect touch!
When Claire arrived in the states in 2017, she and Matthew met in Indiana at their jobs and have been together ever since. They moved from Indiana to Tennessee to further their careers after graduate school and knew they wanted to celebrate somewhere non-traditional for the both of them. Outside of Gatlinburg, TN in the Great Smoky Mountains was clearly an outstanding choice.
The film itself is built on the love story between Claire and Matt, told by them through their first look, their officiant, and their personal wedding vows. Matt was even able to speak some of his vows in Claire's native Korean, which had me wiping away a few tears during the edit. Plus, the views from the sky over the mountains are breathtaking. The film is quite an emotional watch that I'm so grateful to be able to share!
